About Me

I am a robotics/AI fanatic and a physics lover. I am attracted to all things mathematical but I am currently curious about AI and furthering my interest in cybernetics.

I have a varied technical background and have worked in 5 countries.

I completed my Bachelor’s in Technology in 2018 at IIT Roorkee in India, in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Computer Science; I focused mainly on mechatronics and robotics and gained hands-on experience in developing robotic systems for three years by indulging in competitive robotics and from many other independent projects. I also did an industrial internship as an automation engineer at ITC Ltd..

After graduation, I moved to Japan and worked as a software engineer in Tokyo for three years in IoT and AI, at JIG-SAW Inc. and Resonest Corporation. In that capacity, I took varied roles spanning backend web developer, cloud architect, and network engineer; DevOps and software automation; and embedded systems and data analyst/machine learning specialist. I also worked as the lead technical advisor for JIG-SAW US for business expansion in the USA (remotely) for a year and helped form partnerships with other companies.

I have always been curious about natural/artificial intelligence/learning and mathematical modeling of brain processes, and wanted to do more research, so in 2021, I started my Master’s in Neural Information Processing at the University of Tübingen in Germany, where I studied systems and theoretical neuroscience, computational modeling, and machine/deep learning.

During my graduate studies, I took multiple research jobs as a computational assistant at cellular neuroscience and brain imaging labs, at CIN and MPI BC, and conducted theoretical studies on neural dynamics of V1 networks and modeling neuro-developmental disorders using information theory for my research coursework. I also did an internship at a rehabilitation institute in Switzerland in data analysis of non-invasive brain-computer interfaces.

Currently, I am conducting my Master’s thesis research on building visual semantic priors in structured free exploration in reinforcement learning under guidance from the Autonomous Learning Group at the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems in Tübingen.

About this Website

I started this website in August 2020. I mainly use it to host my latest resume, CVs, and portfolio.

Other than that, it is a place for me to showcase some stuff to my friends and family (just some fun interactive projects I’ve always wanted to build).

Later, I plan to put the following things in here

Sooner than later. (´v`)
